We're one of 80+ official Juventus F.C. academies worldwide, bringing an Italian development methodology to the DC Metro area. Our focus is growing people before players, players before winning, technical development at every age. We're not a tryout mill or a trophy chase; we're a long-term development club.

Yes. Our coaching curriculum, training methodology, and staff development come directly from Juventus F.C., and we host an annual visit from a Juventus director to review our program. Select coaches and teams will have opportunities for training and education opportunities in Italy.

We train at fields across Montgomery County, MD. Classic teams typically train in Bethesda, Rockville, or Potomac. Academy teams typically train in Potomac, Rockville, Bethesda, Gaithersburg, or Germantown. Practice permits are requested each season, so exact times, days, and fields can shift from season to season; we do our best to keep teams close together so directors and squad leaders can stay involved.

Both levels share the same coaching quality and curriculum. Academy is our highest competitive level: more frequent practices, more tournaments, and travel starting at U11. Classic is a strong, local, competitive level, closer to home with a lighter travel load. Academy tryouts happen first each season; if a player doesn't make an Academy team, we'll still consider them for Classic, though you may be asked to try out again against a different player pool.

Multiple teams let us build the right competitive atmosphere for each group, challenge individual players appropriately, and give players room to develop specific skill sets while building resilience and a supportive mindset across the club.

No. Futures is open to any focused player who wants to take their game to the next level, and it helps build the foundation to try out for a Classic or Academy team later. It's a training program, not a team: we work in 1v1s and small-sided play, but Futures doesn't play matches or compete in a league. Coaches evaluate players throughout each season and may recommend a Classic or Academy tryout based on what they show. Sign up for a full season and a uniform top is included.

We develop soccer players, not specialists, so understanding every position matters. At U12 and under, players are encouraged to rotate through positions, including goalkeeper, since we use our keepers' feet to build out of the back. That range builds the versatility and game understanding every position benefits from.

Academy tryouts run in mid-to-late April, Classic tryouts follow in May. Exact dates and locations are posted on our Tryouts page and in Announcements each season.

No, tryouts are always free. There's no cost to register or attend an evaluation session.

No. You register by program, Academy, Classic, or both, and your player's birthdate automatically places them in the correct age group. Each age group is evaluated separately, alongside kids their own age.

We recommend at least two, so our coaches get a thorough look. No need to RSVP either way, just attend the sessions scheduled for your player's age group.

A light-colored top and dark shorts. We'd ask that they leave jerseys or gear from other clubs at home.

Register through PlayMetrics, check in and get your player's number, then take part in a Veo-filmed evaluation session. Our coaching staff reviews film and makes placement decisions collaboratively, not off a single session. Most families hear back with an offer within about a week.

Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Your player will get a bib number at their first session, hang onto it and bring it back for every session after.

We watch the forecast closely. If a session needs to be canceled, we'll email you by 4pm that day.

Placement is about finding the right development environment, not a pass/fail. We'll offer the level where we believe your player will develop best, and we're always glad to talk through the reasoning with you directly. For our full placement policy, see the Club Guide.

Yes, we'd love to see them at the final session. It helps our coaches calibrate new prospects against current team talent, and it's extra touches on the ball before the season starts.

Yes, every player tries out each season. We ask players to take ownership of developing their craft outside of practice, and players who stay committed to that tend to stay with the club long-term.

Occasionally, yes. Development isn't always linear, and sometimes a different team or position is what's best for a player's growth. Any mid-year move is a joint decision between head coaches, our Leadership Committee, and directors, made with that player's development in mind, and we'll always talk it through with the family first.

Registration is open all year. Reach out to us and we'll coordinate a time for your player to join a training session so our coaches can get a look, evaluations happen throughout the season, not just during our official tryout weeks.

Consistent attendance matters, development compounds over a season, and teammates and coaches count on each other. We understand life happens; talk to your coach directly about any scheduling conflicts. Full attendance and commitment policies are in the Club Guide.

Yes, reach out to our office directly and we'll work through the options with you. We'd rather have that conversation than have cost be the reason a player doesn't play.

In Classic, players typically play at least half of each game. In Academy, a smaller share of minutes is guaranteed and the rest is earned through training and preparation; some Academy tournaments and championship matches may be played more competitively. Coaching decisions also weigh attitude and fit for that specific game.

Numbers are assigned by our directors so we can avoid duplicates across age groups and levels, which also lets us move players between teams when needed without a jersey conflict.
