Each year, Juventus Academy DC Metro invests in bringing a member of the Juventus technical staff from Italy to spend a week working alongside our directors and coaches. From September 14 to 20, we were proud to welcome Lorenzo Forneris of the Juventus Academy Technical Staff for a valuable week of learning, collaboration, and growth.

The purpose of Lorenzo's visit was to keep our staff aligned with the Juventus methodology while giving our coaches continued education, updates, and individualized feedback. Throughout the week, Lorenzo observed training sessions and evaluated matches across different age groups. He also led several sessions with both boys and girls teams. Those sessions were recorded, so they can serve as educational resources for our coaches throughout the year.

During the weekdays, Lorenzo met with our directors to discuss a variety of technical and organizational topics, review our seasonal training cycles, and identify areas where we can keep strengthening the experience we provide. The week concluded with a full staff meeting, where Lorenzo shared his observations, introduced updates to the Juventus methodology, and gave feedback to help our coaches continue developing.

Although the in-person visit lasts only one week, the support we receive from Juventus does not end when our guest returns to Italy. Our staff meets virtually with members of the Juventus technical team throughout the year and can access expertise in areas including technical development, psychology, nutrition, fitness, and more.
